Email.eu is an independent European company, founded in Groningen in 2026. No outside VCs, no exit pressure.

For twenty years, European work flowed through American infrastructure. It mostly worked. It was mostly fine. And every few years a piece of legislation — the Patriot Act, the CLOUD Act, Schrems I, Schrems II, Schrems III — reminded us that “mostly fine” is not a strategy.

We started Email.eu because the alternatives looked like either giving up on digital sovereignty, or giving up on the software quality our teams deserve. Neither sat right.

So we built the thing. A proper workspace — fast, useful, designed — that happens to be incorporated under Dutch law, staffed by Europeans, hosted on the continent, audited in public, and built to stay independent.

we won't break.

Your data is yours.
We will never sell it, mine it, train on it, or retain it beyond what the law requires and you permit.

Answer to Europe. Period.
Our legal, operational and corporate structure lives entirely within EU jurisdiction. No shell in Delaware, no Irish tax vehicle.

Open standards. No exceptions.
Every protocol we speak — IMAP, JMAP, CalDAV, CardDAV, SAML, OIDC — is one you can leave with. Import and export are first-class.

Slow money. Fast software.
Independent ownership. No investors pressing us toward exit. We'll be here in 2050, charging fair prices, shipping better software.

Craft matters.
Sovereignty is not an excuse for bad software. Our bar is higher: as good as the best, with the rights you deserve.
