Can it replace Microsoft 365 or Google Docs?

For everyday documents, budgets and presentations, yes. There are no macros or pivot tables, so if your work depends on those, keep Excel for that part.

Do my Word, Excel and PowerPoint files stay intact?

Yes. They aren't converted: what you change is saved back into the same file, and what you didn't touch stays as it was. Download it and it opens in Office with your changes in it. One thing to know: some charts, like scatter plots, don't show in Sheets yet, though they stay in the file. Charts can't be changed here yet either.

Which files can it open?

.docx, .xlsx and .pptx. Older .doc, .xls and .ppt files and password-protected files don't open: save them in the newer format first, without a password.

Can two people work on the same Word file?

Yes, at the same time, and you see where the other person is. The same goes for Excel and PowerPoint files.

Can we keep using Office on our computers?

Yes. Download a file, work on it in Office, and upload it again. Files don't sync to your computer by themselves yet.
