Releases

What's new in Email.eu.

Every release since the new Email.eu, in plain words. We ship most days, so there's usually something new here.

Word files, edited in place

Word files now open in Docs as themselves and save back into the same file. The website gets a light and dark switch, and inviting people takes one clear step at a time.

  • DocsOpen a Word file in Drive and edit it right there: it's saved back into the same file, formatting kept.
  • DocsWord files with footnotes, equations, sections, text boxes, charts, tracked changes or comments can be edited too, and highlights, colours and alignment come through as they were.
  • DriveA document made in Drive downloads as a Word file, and the upload card says 'Saving…' instead of a 100% that seems stuck.
  • MailFolders with folders inside fold away, like team inboxes do, and a team's draft shows on its conversation in your Inbox too.
  • MailOn a phone, a big mailbox no longer keeps loading page after page by itself.
  • CalendarCalendar files of up to 25 MB can be imported.
  • SettingsInvite people one at a time: their name, their address and where the invitation should go, with an optional backup address as a second step.
  • SettingsMail apps shows two ways in, one for iPhone, iPad and Mac and one for any other app, with Drive in a file manager under Set up by hand.
  • WebsiteChoose light or dark on email.eu, with a small switch in the header, the footer and the phone menu.

All your calendars together

Calendar now shows every workspace you're in at once, just as Mail does. Send later is easier to set, and drafts open exactly where you expect them.

  • CalendarSee the calendars of all your workspaces at once, as Mail shows the mail of all of them.
  • CalendarWhen you drag an event, its guests hear about it only once the Undo has passed.
  • MailSend later's time can be clicked, picked from a list or typed.
  • MailAn invitation that's already in your calendar says so, instead of offering to add it again.
  • MailThe draft you pick in Drafts is always the one that opens, and a reply draft opens in its box with the message it answers folded above it.
  • MailA notice's bar now opens what it's about, and a mail import that's refused for the moment explains why in words.
  • SettingsIf a DNS record that passed goes missing, the domain's owners get an email about it.
  • SettingsSomeone you invite whose mail already comes to Email.eu also gets the invitation at their other address.
  • EverywhereSecurity improvements across the workspace.

Quicker, calmer, more alike

A big pass over speed and consistency in every app. Menus now look and read the same everywhere, type is a little larger, and lots of small waits are gone.

  • EverywhereMenus have one look, one order and the same words in every app, with Move to Trash and other removals last.
  • EverywhereText is a step larger, set in SF Pro on Apple devices and Inter everywhere else; on a phone the bars are frosted and stay at the top.
  • Everywhere⌘K puts making something new first, finds people without typing their accents, searches all your mail, and opens a file or chat message right at the match.
  • MailScheduled lists what goes next under Today, Tomorrow and This week, and a booking's calendar file shows as an event card you add in one click.
  • MailAttachments sit above the composer's tools where you always see them, unsubscribing moves that sender's mail to Trash, and the combined Inbox and search scroll on past 500 conversations.
  • CalendarRename a calendar, join a call straight from its event, and make a New event from ⌘K; events also stay at their own time on the days the clocks change.
  • DriveEmpty Trash in one go, move or trash more than 100 items at once with Undo, and uploads ride out a dropped connection; an upload with a name that's taken is kept beside it as 'name (2)'. Search puts the exact name first and finds words inside spreadsheet cells.
  • DocsMake a copy of any document you can open, and come back to find your caret where you left it; Docs, Sheets and Slides also feel quicker as you type.
  • ChatA room opens where its new messages start, old threads open with their messages, and Try again never posts a message twice.
  • MeetA reload takes you back into your call, a dropped call says so, and the lobby tells you what stopped your camera or microphone.

Calendar links and website forms

Share a calendar with anyone by its link, and collect your website's contact forms as email. Companies on Google Workspace can now move over by themselves.

  • CalendarShare a calendar with people outside your workspace by its link, as busy/free or with all details, and add someone else's calendar by pasting its link into New calendar.
  • CalendarChange or delete a repeating event for only this time, this and later times, or every time, and invitations now carry their time zones.
  • FormsMake a form in Sending, copy its HTML onto your website, and each message arrives as an email at the address you choose, with Reply-To set to the visitor.
  • SettingsBring everything over walks an owner through moving a whole company from Google Workspace, then shows each person's mail, calendars, contacts and Drive coming over.
  • MailArchive, delete, snooze and move happen without a flicker, Undo always puts things back, and search is much faster.
  • MailAssigned to me lives in your Inbox, the sidebar says plainly who has a team conversation, and clicking the Sending… bar opens what you sent.
  • MailAn emptied Inbox hangs the day's painting as in a museum.
  • SettingsNumbers follow your own format everywhere, with 1.000 and €0,90 written the European way where that's what you use.
  • SettingsConnecting an AI assistant is a clear dialog: what it can read, and a switch for whether it may write.
  • EverywhereLong lists get a search at the top of their picker, live updates come back at once after your computer sleeps, and a refresh that fails keeps what's on screen.

Partners sign up, uploads without limits

Partners can now join by themselves, and Drive takes uploads of any size, picking up where it stopped. Team inboxes also come together in one list.

  • PartnersSign up as a partner yourself and agree to the partner terms online, as a referral partner or a managed services partner (those are approved first).
  • PartnersAn approved managed services partner chooses per client who sends the invoices: the partner itself at 30% off, or us, with 20% for the partner.
  • DriveUpload any number of files at once, even a whole export of thousands, with one progress block showing how far along it is and the time left.
  • DriveDrop the same folder again and the upload goes on where it stopped, skipping what's already there.
  • MailTeam inboxes brings every team inbox you're in into one list, and team conversations assigned to you show in your own Inbox, labelled with their team.
  • MailSet your own swipes in Settings, Reading and sending: up to four steps each way, from Archive and Flag to Snooze and Pin.
  • MailPhotos attached to a message show as small thumbnails, and Send later mail is dated when it goes, not when you scheduled it.
  • CalendarYour booking page emails you about every new booking, and visitors get a clear 'Booked:' message.
  • CalendarAn event's description unfolds in its popover with working links, and on a phone you swipe across the month and New event starts on the day you picked.
  • SettingsAI assistants has its own page under You, admins allow assistants one by one, and an assistant may now write drafts, events, docs and chat posts for you to check.

Newsletters, and your own AI assistant

Sending now does newsletters, and you can connect your own AI assistant to your workspace. Almost every app also got quicker, with less waiting on the server.

  • SendingWrite and send newsletters from Sending: several per workspace, each with its own subscribers, sender, sign-up form and sign-off, written just like an email.
  • SendingSubscribers confirm by email and unsubscribe in one click, and you can import an existing list from a CSV file.
  • SendingDevelopers can send up to 100 messages in one request, schedule mail for later, test with special test addresses, and get hints on mail that could arrive better.
  • SettingsConnect your own AI assistant at your workspace's address, so it can read your mail, calendar, contacts, files and chat, with every use in the activity log.
  • MailPin a conversation to the top, merge or rename conversations, and see a Draft chip with your words so far on any conversation you're answering.
  • MailEach team inbox has its Numbers: what came in, first reply time and what's waiting, and round robin passes over anyone who is away.
  • MailOn a phone, swipe conversations to archive, flag or snooze, and write replies on a screen of their own.
  • EverywhereDocs, sheets and presentations reopen at once, chat messages show the moment you send them, and saving an event or renaming a file in Drive is instant.
  • Sign-inOne sign-in page everywhere, and Settings shows the browsers you're signed in on, one row each.
  • WebsiteFaster pages, and a newsletter sign-up in the footer.

Smarter rules, a better fit on phones

Rules can now match several senders or words at once. On a phone, buttons are a finger's size and mail fills the screen.

  • MailA rule can match one of several values, like a list of senders or 'factuur' or 'invoice' in the subject, and a pasted list becomes one value each.
  • MailSend and archive moves you on the moment you press Send, and brings the conversation back if sending fails.
  • MailMessage previews in the list come from the version you see, using the sender's own preview line.
  • MailOn a phone, a conversation runs edge to edge, and text a sender made too faint for its background is given readable ink.
  • EverywhereOn a phone every button is a finger's size, Drive's Suggested files are a row you swipe, and Sending's numbers sit two across.
  • WebsiteThe blog opens with The new Email.eu is here, and older posts stay at their old addresses.

Reminders, birthdays and a briefing for your day

Calendar gets reminders and a Birthdays calendar, and Today now briefs you on what's next and what needs you. Mail learns a lot from Missive and Apple Mail.

  • CalendarSet reminders on events, as a notification or an email, and get a Birthdays calendar from your contacts with an email reminder if you like.
  • CalendarEach imported calendar file becomes a calendar of its own, and Merge into… combines it with another.
  • EverywhereToday is a briefing: what's next with a Join button, what needs you, and the rest of your day at a glance.
  • MailPreview attachments (images, PDFs, video, audio, text and CSV) with a double-click or Space, filter the list by unread, flagged, attachments, sender, assignee or tag, and schedule a meeting from a message.
  • MailChoose which address new mail goes out from, undo several actions in a row with ⌘Z, and pick a run of messages with Shift and the arrow keys.
  • MailTo and Cc show each person by name with a card to add them to contacts or see all your conversations with them, and Unsubscribe sits in the toolbar for mailing lists.
  • MailWide messages shrink to fit the reader, and mail from Outlook no longer shows a blank line between every line.
  • MailMarking mail Junk or Not junk teaches the spam filter, and people you've written to or have in your contacts count as known correspondents.
  • SettingsA profile for iPhone or Mac sets up mail, calendars and contacts in one go, with every address of your mailbox ready to send from.
  • MailOn a phone, a message slides in from the right, swiping back returns to the list, and text is a step larger, as iOS sizes it.

Slides, passkeys and one sign-in for all your workspaces

Presentations join documents and spreadsheets in Drive. Sign in with a passkey or a code by email, and switch between your workspaces without signing in again.

  • SlidesMake presentations in Drive: themes in your workspace's colour and logo, shapes and pictures, speaker notes, presenting with a presenter view, and import or export PowerPoint files.
  • SlidesComment, see who else is in the presentation, and go back to any earlier version, as in Docs.
  • Sign-inSign in with a passkey first, or with your address and a code by email; a password still works when you ask for it.
  • Sign-inOne sign-in covers all your workspaces, and Settings, Workspaces lists them with a button for a new one.
  • SettingsChange the settings of another of your workspaces in place, from General and People to Domains, Teams and Channels.
  • CalendarAgenda shows what's coming as a list by day, with time, place and people, 30 days at a time (key A).
  • MailDrop or paste images straight into the text of a draft, and a reload reopens the draft you had open.
  • MailImporting from Gmail is several times faster, brings the newest mail first, and pauses at Gmail's daily limit instead of stopping.
  • MailA few open tabs no longer stop mail from loading, Download all saves every attachment in Safari, and today's messages show just their time.
  • DrivePick files in Drive and Contacts by drawing a box, as in Mail.
  • EverywhereSwitch to another app and back without losing your place: an event you're writing, your sheet's tab and cell, or an unfinished comment.

One Inbox across your workspaces

If you're in more than one workspace, all your mail now comes together in one Inbox. Spam and Trash also tidy themselves up after 30 days.

  • MailOne Inbox across all your workspaces, with each combined mailbox folding into its addresses, and other workspaces' team inboxes listed with their comments.
  • MailSpam and Trash empty themselves after 30 days, and say so in one calm line.
  • MailAct on a whole folder at once with ⌘A or the folder's menu, or pick conversations by drawing a box from the list's empty space.
  • MailMoving through the list with the arrows keeps the open conversation in view, and Space reads on in the message.
  • CalendarA new event's form opens beside its slot with the day kept clear, and the save button says what it will send.
  • DriveShare links open documents and spreadsheets read only.
  • SendingSending has its own prices, shown under Billing in Settings, and management tokens under API keys let your code manage sending keys and domains.
  • SettingsChoose how numbers are written, and the signature preview follows the editor as you type.
  • WebsiteA new email.eu: new pages, plans that say what each one includes per person a month, and Sending's prices on the pricing page.

The new Email.eu

The new Email.eu is live: Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Drive, Chat, Meet and more in one app. Here's what we added on day one.

  • Sign-inA sign-in link from an email asks whether to continue in this browser or open the Email.eu app, and typing your workspace's address takes you straight there.
  • MeetChoose your video quality, see when a connection is poor, and keep yourself small in the corner of the floating call window.
  • MeetGuests see your workspace's logo, and a personal room's guest page says whose room it is.
  • MailUndo a discarded draft, and get address suggestions only for people you've written to or answered, never a machine's address.
  • MailYour own code can reach your mail over JMAP with an app password, and Mail apps says where to find it.
  • CalendarSearch finds calendar events, and an organizer who is also invited shows once.
  • SettingsDomains are checked again every minute while the page is open, straight at the domain's own nameservers.
  • EverywhereOne page layout in every app, and anything you picked lets go when you click elsewhere.
