Partner terms

The agreement between your company and us when you bring clients to Email.eu. They apply on top of our terms of service.

Last updated

The short version
  • You agree with Remails B.V., which trades as Email.eu, when we switch on your partner account at your request.
  • You have one deal: 10% of a client's first year, 20% for as long as they stay, or 30% off when you invoice your clients yourself.
  • We pay out every month, for what your clients paid us, once it adds up to €25 or more.
  • Your clients own their workspaces. You see their plan and their people, never their mail or files.
  • Either of us can stop with three months' notice. Your clients keep their workspace.
  • Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the court in Groningen.

This summary helps you find your way. The full text below is what counts.

1.Who we are, and who you are

Email.eu is a trade name of Remails B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands (KVK 89044819) and based in Groningen. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean Remails B.V. When they say "you", they mean the company whose workspace we made a partner.

These terms apply on top of our terms of service, which you already agreed to for your own workspace. Where the two differ, these terms win for everything about being a partner.

2.Becoming a partner

You ask us to become a partner, through the partners page or by email. When we agree, we switch on a partner account for your workspace and these terms apply from then. Your owners and administrators get the Partner app, with your own link to give to clients, the clients you brought and what you earn from them.

Being a partner is not exclusive, and there is no minimum number of clients.

3.Your deal

You have one of three deals, which we agree with you when we switch on your partner account. Every client who starts through your link, or whom we set up for you, comes on that deal and keeps it, even if your deal changes later. Percentages are of what the client pays us, without VAT.

  • Recommend. The client pays us. You get 10% of what they pay in their first year.
  • Resell. The client pays us, and you are the one they come to first with questions. You get 20% of what they pay, for as long as they stay.
  • Managed service provider. You pay us for your clients' workspaces, on your own invoice, with 30% off. You invoice your clients yourself, at your own price, and you carry the risk if they don't pay you. You are the one they come to first with questions.

On any deal, we back you up whenever you need us. You also get your partner rate off your own Email.eu workspace.

4.How you get paid

On the first day of every month, we add up your share of what your clients paid us before then. Once it comes to €25 or more, and you have told us in the Partner app which bank account it goes to, we pay it out. A smaller amount waits for the next month.

To save you the paperwork, we draw up the invoice for your payout on your behalf, and you agree that we do. It shows VAT as the law requires: Dutch VAT for a partner in the Netherlands, reverse charged for a partner elsewhere in the EU with a VAT number, and none for a partner outside the EU. We pay it by bank transfer.

As a managed service provider your share is the discount on your own invoice, so there is nothing to pay out.

5.Your own invoice as a managed service provider

As a managed service provider, we invoice you for your clients' workspaces the way we invoice any workspace: ahead, monthly or yearly, as set out in our terms of service, with your 30% off.

If an invoice stays unpaid, the workspaces it covers can be paused, as for any workspace. Your clients should not lose their mail because of a disagreement between you and us, so if an invoice is more than 30 days late, we may also offer those clients to continue with us directly.

6.Your clients

  • Each client's own owner owns their workspace. They agree to our terms of service and our data processing agreement themselves.
  • In the Partner app you see each client's plan, how many people they have and whether they are up to date. You never see their mail, files, messages or calendars.
  • A client can see which partner they came through, in Settings, and can end that link at any time. From then on you no longer see them or earn from them.

7.What we ask of you

  • Describe Email.eu as it is. Don't promise your clients anything on our behalf that our website and documents don't say.
  • Find clients fairly: no spam, and no buying ads on our name.
  • You may use our name and logo to say you work with us. Please don't make it look as if you are Email.eu.

8.Changes

We may change these terms or the deals in them. We email you at least 30 days before a change applies to you. If you don't agree, you can stop being a partner before it applies.

9.Ending the partnership

Either of us can end the partnership at any time, with three months' notice by email. We can end it straight away if you seriously break these terms, for example by sending spam in our name.

When it ends, your clients keep their workspaces and continue with us directly. You earn on them until the notice period is over. As a managed service provider, we then invoice your clients ourselves.

10.Law and disputes

Dutch law applies to these terms. If we can't resolve a disagreement together, it goes to the court of Noord-Nederland in Groningen.
